Cram's General Store is a family owned and operated business, your hosts are Joe and Kathy Cram of Big Bay. The Cram family's roots run deep into the heart of Big Bay. Joe's parents, Hiram and Pauline Cram raised their nine children in the heart of Hungry Hollow. In the mid 1900's, Hiram opened Cram's Store, a quintesential American general store offering a variety of dry goods to the residents and visitors of Big Bay. Pauline put her knack for culinary creations to work when she opened a restaurant in Big Bay. There wasn't a hungry hunter to be found in Powell Township once Pauline opened her restaurant. Stories of her famous homemade pasties and potica still ring through the Hollow.
In 1992, Joe and Kathy, along with their three children, began their adventure back to the Cram family roots as they purchased the store now known as Cram's General. At any given time, you'll find the friendly smile of Joe, Kathy, Joe Jr., Jack or Cassie Cram as they greet you and kindly help you at the store, restaurant or laundromat.
