You must purchase a license if you are 17 years of age or older.

If you are under 17, you may fish without a license, but you are required to observe all fishing rules and  regulations.

Senior licenses are available for Michigan residents 65 years of age and older.

You must have the license in your possession when fishing and the identification used to purchase that license.

Your fishing license is valid from March 1, 2001 through March 31, 2002

**FREE FISHING WEEKENDS: June 9&10, 2001 and February 16&17, 2002
All fishing license fees will be waived on these dates so that residents and out state visitors may try fishing on both inland and Great Lakes' Waters!!
